Citibank takes care of its customers and, together with ZAO AIG Insurance and Reinsurance Company, offers its credit card holders a unique opportunity — insurance against financial losses in case of unauthorized use of a lost or stolen credit card, and also in case of a robbery when withdrawing cash.
Insurance coverage
In case of unauthorized use of your credit card by third parties, ZAO AIG Insurance and Reinsurance Company will compensate you for charges made to your credit card from the moment when your credit card is lost or stolen till the moment of its blocking (but no longer than within 72 hours).
In case of robbery of cash withdrawn at Citibank ATMs or other ATMs that accept Citibank credit cards, ZAO AIG Insurance and Reinsurance Company will compensate you for the stolen amount if a robbery committed with violence took place no later than two hours after cash withdrawal.
Coverage limits
In the cases described above, ZAO AIG Insurance and Reinsurance Company will compensate you as follows:
up to 75,000 roubles for Citibank MasterCard
up to 150,000 roubles for Citibank MasterCard Gold
Cost of the insurance program
60 roubles per month for Citibank MasterCard
90 roubles per month for Citibank MasterCard Gold
Who is eligible for the insurance program?
All primary credit card holders are eligible for the program. Supplementary credit card holders are not eligible for the program.
Where is the insurance coverage effective?
This insurance provides effective 24-hour coverage throughout the world.
Insured event reporting procedure and deadlines
Immediately notify ZAO Citibank and block the credit card.
Make a report to Militia authorities, or competent authorities of a foreign state, no later than 48 hours after the occurrence of the insured event and obtain from them a notice slip or other written acknowledgment of receipt of your report.
Notify ZAO AIG Insurance and Reinsurance Company no later than three days after the occurrence of the insured event.

You may cancel the insurance at any time by giving written notice at any Citibank branch, and, if you do so within the first month of your insurance activation date, the insurance premium will not be charged, or, if it has been paid, will be refunded.

This type of insurance is not investment insurance and does not provide for a refund of insurance premium for the insurance period elapsed.
