New Consumer Head for Russia & CIS
Amit Sah Appointed New Consumer Banking Head for Russia & CIS
Citi has announced the appointment of Amit Sah as Consumer Banking Head for Russia and CIS, subject to regulatory approvals.
In this capacity, Amit will be responsible for driving Russia's consumer business strategic direction, profitability and performance. Amit will be reporting to Zdenek Turek, President of ZAO Citibank, Head of Citi Russia and CIS, and Sanjeeb Chaudhuri, CEO, Consumer and Commercial Banking, Central and Eastern Europe, Citi. Amit Sah will be based in Moscow. He succeeds Joel Kornreich, who has moved to Spain.
Zdenek Turek, President of ZAO Citibank, Head of Citi Russia and CIS, said: "Russia is a priority country for Citi overall and for the Consumer business in particular. Amit has been with Citi for 22 years and has worked in several functions within Consumer, including financial control, operations, sales and marketing, and product management. For the last four years Amit has been heading up the Consumer Business in Thailand. Before taking on this role, Amit held a number of senior roles including Head of Retail Banking and Marketing Director for Wealth Management in India. Amit holds a Masters degree from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
