Citi Select® Program Rules and Conditions


General

These Citi Select Program Rules and Conditions (the “Program Rules” or “Rules”) set out the terms and conditions upon which the Bank’s customers may join and participate in the Citi Select Program.

The customer’s acceptance of these Rules is a condition of Citi Select membership.

A credit Card Member acknowledges his/her acceptance of these Rules in the manner as required by the Bank, to wit:

– Properly completes and signs a Citi Select Application.

– Confirms agreement to participate in the Citi Select Program in Citibank® Online at www.citibank.ru.


A debit Card Member acknowledges his/her acceptance of these Rules in the manner as required by the Bank, to wit:

– Properly completes and signs a banking services application form for the chosen bank service package, provides written acknowledgement of acceptance of the Rules and requests the Bank to record his/her debit Card transactions for Citi Select purposes until such time as Select Points are redeemed for Partner Points.

– Confirms agreement to participate in the Citi Select Program in Citibank Online at www.citibank.ru.


A credit Card and a bank service package are made available subject to the Bank’s terms and conditions.


Definitions

“Bank” (“Citibank”) means AO Citibank, a bank that owns all rights and title to the Program and awards and redeems Select Points for the purposes thereof.

“Bank Card” (“Card”) means a Citibank credit and/or debit card that identifies its holder as a Citi Select Member when he/she is purchasing goods or services from merchants and/or products or services from the Bank.

There are two types of Bank Cards:

– credit Cards, including a Citi Select Mastercard World Primary Card, a Citi Select Mastercard World Premium Primary Card or a Mastercard World Elite Primary Card (a Citi Select-enabled Ultima card), and the respective Supplementary Cards;

– debit Cards (except Visa Classic, MasterCard Standard), including a Primary Card issued within the Citibank, CitiOne or Citigold bank service packages and the respective Supplementary Cards.


“Benefit(s)” means a discount(s) on Partners’ goods and services that can be obtained upon redemption of Partner Points subject to the terms and conditions of Partner Programs, or other privileges and special terms made available by Partners.

“Bonus Account” (“Account”, “Member’s Account”) means a Select Point account opened by the Bank in its books in the Primary Card Member’s name subject to these Rules. One Account will be opened for both the Primary and Supplementary Cards. Select Points will be added to the Account upon the purchase of goods or services from merchants and/or products or services from the Bank with the use of the Bank Card.

“Citi Select Application” (“Application”) means a separate application form, or an integral part of another document, containing the customer’s request to enroll him/her in the Citi Select Program and record his/her credit card transactions for Citi Select purposes, which, upon completion and signature by the prospective Member, will constitute a Citi Select Application in relation to the credit Card.

“Citi Select Program” (“Citi Select”, “Program”) means a system of relationships set up by these Rules, whereby a Member making charges to the Bank Card or purchasing products or services from the Bank becomes entitled to receive Select Points and exchange those for Partner Points subject to these Rules.

“Member” means a private individual admitted to Citi Select membership in accordance with these Rules.

“Notification” means information, including advertising communications, transmitted to the Member by such means of communication as indicated in his/her Application, to wit: mobile and/or landline telephone, electronic and/or regular mail, or otherwise.

“Partner Points” (“Points”, “Bonus Points”, “Miles”, “Bonus Currency”, “Gift Certificates”) means reward points credited to Members’ accounts with Partners subject to the terms and conditions of Partner Programs.

“Partner Programs” means any loyalty programs operated by Partners whereby Benefits are granted and/or Partner Points are awarded and redeemed.

“Partners” means companies operating their own loyalty programs whereby Benefits are granted and/or Partner Points are awarded and redeemed. All Partners’ actions relating to the granting of Benefits and/or awarding and redeeming of Partner Points are governed by the terms and conditions of Partner Programs, and the Bank is not responsible for and does not accept any complaints in connection with such actions.

“Primary Card” means a Card issued to the Member under these Rules to enable him/her to earn Select Points and redeem them for Partner Points subject to these Rules, and the Bank – to keep track of the points so earned and redeemed.

“Selects” or “Select Points” means reward points credited to the Bonus Account subject to these Rules and redeemable by Members for Partner Points.

“Supplementary Card” means a Card issued to the Member under these Rules to enable its holder to earn Select Points and the Bank – to keep track of the points so earned. The Supplementary Card cannot be used to redeem Selects for Partner Points. Any Selects earned with the Supplementary Card can only be redeemed with the Primary Card.

In these Rules, except where the context otherwise requires, words denoting the singular include the plural and vice versa.


1. Membership

1.1. Membership of the Program is free.* The minimum eligible age for a debit and/or credit Card is determined by the Bank.

1.1.1. A credit Card holder becomes a Member on the Card issue date.

1.1.2. A debit Card holder becomes a Member on the date of acknowledgement of acceptance of the Rules after Card issue. Such Member may also use Select Points awarded to him/her prior to the acknowledgement of acceptance of the Rules.


1.2. To apply for a Bank Card, you need to do the following:

1.2.1. Contact a Bank employee or representative (contact information is available at www.citibank.ru);

• Properly complete and sign the required application form;

• Provide documents as required by the Bank.


1.3. The terms and conditions of application for and use of the Bank Card can be found at www.citibank.ru.

1.4. One Member can be issued with one debit and/or one credit Card. A Primary Card holder may request a Supplementary Card, which is linked to the Member’s Account and may be used by his/her authorized person.

1.5. The Member must immediately notify the Bank of any changes in his/her address and other personal details.

1.6. The Bank reserves at its sole discretion the right to terminate the membership of any Member without prior notice for any reason, including where:

• Member fails to comply with these Rules;

• Member misuses the rights given to him/her under the Program;

• Member provides false or misleading information to the Bank and/or Partners;

• Member makes no charges to the Bank Card within twelve (12) months of its receipt;

• Member Is over six months past due on his/her Bank Card;

• Member uses Card for business-related transactions;

• transactions conflict with the Russian law or Citi Select Program Rules and Conditions.

Meanwhile, Member’s Accounts are to be closed, accrued Selects are to be cancelled, and membership agreement in Program is terminated.


1.7. A credit Card Member may opt out of Citi Select membership at any time by requesting the Bank in writing to cancel the Card and/or terminate the credit card agreement in the manner as required by the Bank.

A debit Card Member may opt out of Citi Select membership at any time by requesting the Bank in writing to cancel his/her membership or terminate the banking services agreement in the manner as required by the Bank.

1.8. Where Citi Select membership is terminated by the Bank or the Member under paragraphs 1.6 or 1.7 above, any Select Points awarded to, but unused by, the Member will be cancelled without any compensation.

1.9. While Citibank blocks Member`s Account, new Selects assessment does not occur, and Member can`t use his/her earlier assessed Selects. Member`s Account can be unblocked by Citibank if the earlier reason for blocking were eliminated by Member or necessary documents/clarifications will be provided to Citibank. Selects recalculation in the period of blocking Member`s Account is not made.

1.9. If the Bank elects to terminate the Citi Select Program or if the membership of any one Member is terminated for reasons other than those described in paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 above, the Bank may, without further consent from, or prior notice to, the Member convert Select Points in the Member’s Account into rubles at the then current exchange rate published on www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru and credit the resultant amount to the Member’s Card account. All the Bank’s obligations to the Member will be discharged at the time of crediting the Member’s Card account, and the Member may not make any claims against the Bank and/or Partners in connection therewith.

1.10. Membership agreement in Program is avoided in case Citibank recognize Member missed or dead. Meanwhile, assessed Selects to Member`s Account cancelled.

1.11. If the Bank elects to terminate the Citi Select Program or if the membership of any one Member is terminated for reasons other than those described in paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 above, the Bank may, without further consent from, or prior notice to, the Member convert Select Points in the Member’s Account into rubles at the then current exchange rate published on www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru and credit the resultant amount to the Member’s Card account. All the Bank’s obligations to the Member will be discharged at the time of crediting the Member’s Card account, and the Member may not make any claims against the Bank and/or Partners in connection therewith.

1.12. The Member agrees that if he/she is overdue on Bank Card payments, he/she will not be able to convert Selects into Partner Points, Partners’ promo codes or CASH BACK Pro rewards, and the Bank will have a right, but not an obligation, to exchange the Member’s Selects for a cash reward in accordance with the terms of exchange as determined by the Bank and apply the resultant amount towards the payment of overdue debt, without the Member’s consent.

1.13. The Member agrees that the list of Partners may be subject to change at the discretion of the Bank and that at the time when the Member elects to exchange Selects for Partner Points such exchange may not be available.

1.14. The Bank will, on a regular basis, generate a statement showing the opening balance, the amount of Selects credited to and debited from the Account, and the closing balance. The Member may receive the above statement and/or a notification of its availability in the manner provided for in the banking services agreement and/or the credit card agreement, or in a manner otherwise determined. If the Member disagrees with information contained in the statement, he/she must notify the Bank thereof within two (2) weeks of the statement date.

1.15. The Member agrees to receive Notifications from the Bank as provided for in these Rules but reserves the right to opt out of receiving advertising Notifications by doing any of the following:

• changing marketing-related preferences under “My Profile” in Citibank® Online;

• orally stating his/her refusal to receive such Notifications via CitiPhone®.


1.16. The Card is valid through the date indicated thereon or until such time as it is otherwise cancelled.


2. Awarding Select Points

2.1. Select Points are awarded upon the purchase of goods or services from merchants and/or products or services from the Bank. Select Points may also be awarded in the events where the Bank and/or Partners run marketing campaigns or special promotions. The Bank and Partners determine the list of eligible goods and services and the amount of Selects to be awarded for their purchase. The Bank may award Selects to a Card holder even though he/she is not a Member. Select Points awarded are shown on the Bank’s statement.

2.2. The Bank determines the rules and procedures for awarding Select Points, which are then published on its websites at www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru. The Bank will award Select Points (i) on a recurring basis (for purchasing goods or services with the Bank Card (“Select Points for Purchases”) and for spending and charging a specified minimum amount within a calendar year (“Annual Bonus”) – applicable to debit Cards only), and (ii) on a non-recurring basis (on admittance to membership (“Welcome Select Points”) – applicable to credit Cards Ultima only; on reaching a required minimum average monthly relationship balance (“Select Points for Reaching a Balance”)). The Bank reserves at its sole discretion the right to change the rules and procedures for awarding Select Points and, accordingly, exclude existing and/or introduce new types of Selects.

2.3. The rules of awarding Select Points for the purchase of goods or services are determined by the Bank on its own or in conjunction with Partners and may be changed unilaterally by the Bank. The applicable rules are published on the Bank’s website or in its marketing and informational materials.

2.4. The use of Select Points and of the rights granted by the Program in any manner other than in compliance with these Rules is strictly subject to the Bank’s consent.


3. Redeeming Select Points for Partner Points

3.1. A Primary Card Member may exchange Select Points held in his/her Account for Partner Points with the simultaneous debiting of Select Points from the Account in accordance with these Rules.

3.2. The exchange of Selects for Partner Points with the simultaneous debiting of Selects from the Account will take place within twenty (20) days of the Primary Card Member’s instruction to the Bank via CitiPhone® or Citibank® Online, provided that the Member has obtained and provided to the Bank a Partner Program unique membership number in accordance with these Rules.

3.3. If the Member is not a member of Partner Programs, he/she will need to do the following to be able to exchange Selects for Partner Points:

– Become a member of a Partner Program, get registered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Partner Program and obtain a unique membership number;

– Instruct the Bank to exchange Selects for Partner Points and provide his/her unique membership number;

– Request a Benefit from the Partner after the exchange of Selects for Partner Points.


3.4. Prior to the receipt of Partner Points, the amount of Selects corresponding to the requested amount of Partner Points will be debited from the Account on a “first in, first out” basis.

3.5. Selects debited in exchange for Partner Points cannot be restored in the Account, including where the Member refuses to use such Partner Points. The reverse exchange of Partner Points or their conversion into cash are impossible and inadmissible.

3.6. Select Points are valid for thirty six (36) months from the date they are credited to the Member’s Account. Any Select Points unused by the Member in accordance with these Rules within thirty six (36) months from the date they were credited to the Member’s Account will expire and be unconditionally removed from the Member’s Account.

3.7. Select Points earned by a Member holding both the debit and credit Cards are not automatically pooled in one Account, however, the Member can contact the Bank with an appropriate request via CitiPhone® and the Bank will consolidate the Member’s Select Points in one Account by debiting one Account and crediting the other Account.

3.8. Selects are converted into Partner Points at a rate as determined by the Bank. The exchange rates are published on the Bank’s websites at www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru. Selects may only be exchanged for a package of Partner Points, and no arbitrary exchange of Selects for Partner Points is allowed.

3.9. The Member may opt out of exchanging Selects for Partner Points in favor of receiving a cash reward in his/her Card account and request the Bank to exchange Selects for the cash reward in accordance with the terms of exchange as determined by the Bank. Where this is the case, an amount of Select Points is debited from the Bonus Account and the corresponding cash reward is credited to the Card account.


4. Redeeming Select Points for CASH BACK Pro Rewards

4.1. Using CASH BACK Pro, a Primary Credit Card Member may exchange Select Points held in his/her Account for a cashback reward to get back what he/she spends on purchases made with the Primary or Supplementary Card at any merchants falling within the categories referred to in Annex 1, Annex 2 below, and/or merchants referred to in Annex 2 below, with the simultaneous debiting of Select Points from the Account in accordance with these Rules. The merchant category is determined by a special merchant category code (MCC)** assigned to the merchant in accordance with the card scheme rules. The merchant categories and the relevant MCCs are set out in Annex 1 below.

4.2. A request to redeem Select Points for a CASH BACK Pro reward may be submitted via Citibank® Online within sixty (60) days of the transaction date.

4.3. A cashback reward may amount to 100% of the transaction amount.

4.4. The transaction amount, the reward and the latter’s price in Select Points are shown in Citibank® Online without kopecks/decimals.

4.5. Select Points will be exchanged at a rate as determined by the Bank. The exchange rates are available on www.citiselect.ru and/or under “Credit Cards” → “Citi Select” at www.citibank.ru.

4.6. Partial compensation of the transaction amount is only possible if the Select Points balance is insufficient for compensation of the entire transaction amount. The minimum amount of compensation is RUB 1.00. The maximum amount of compensation may not exceed the transaction amount.

4.7. The reward will be credited to the Member’s credit Card account within five (5) business days of his/her redemption request.

4.8. The reward is non-transferrable. Compensation through the redemption of Select Points for a CASH BACK Pro reward will only be allowed once in respect of each particular transaction.

4.9. The Bank may turn down the Member’s CASH BACK Pro request if the Member’s Select Points balance is insufficient for the purpose of cashback reward.

4.10. Select Points debited in exchange for a CASH BACK Pro reward cannot be restored in the Account. The reverse exchange of cashback reward for Select Points is impossible.


5. Redeeming Select Points for Partners’ Promo Codes

5.1. A Primary Credit Card Member may exchange Select Points held in his/her Account for Partners’ promo codes with the simultaneous debiting of Select Points from the Account in accordance with these Rules.

5.2. The exchange of Selects for Partners’ promo codes with the simultaneous debiting of Selects from the Account will take place within five (5) business days of the Primary Card Member’s instruction to the Bank via CitiPhone or Citibank Online.

5.3. Prior to the receipt of a Partner’s promo code, the amount of Selects corresponding to the requested amount of the promo code will be debited from the Account on a “first in, first out” basis.

5.4. The promo code will be sent to the Member’s mobile phone number. If the Member has provided the Bank with an incorrect phone number, he/she will be unable to use the promo code. The Member can change his/her mobile phone number by calling CitiPhone®.

5.5. Promo codes will only be sent to mobile numbers assigned by Russian mobile service providers.

5.6. Selects debited in exchange for a Partner’s promo code cannot be restored in the Account, including where the Member refuses to use such promo code. The reverse exchange of promo codes or their conversion into cash are impossible and inadmissible.

5.7. Selects are converted into Partners’ promo codes at a rate as determined by the Bank. The exchange rates are published on the Bank’s websites at www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru. Selects may only be exchanged for the promo codes of certain nominal values, and no arbitrary exchange of Selects for Partners’ promo codes is allowed.


6. Miscellaneous

6.1. The Bank may, at its discretion, change these Rules and the list of Partners at any time. In the event of changes to these Rules, the Bank will notify its customers thereof by posting a new version of the Rules at www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru.

6.2. The Bank and/or Partners also may, at their discretion and without prior notice to the Member, change the list of eligible transactions, goods and services and the amount of Select Points that may be awarded on such transactions, goods and services, as well as determine the admissibility and manner of exchange of Selects for Partner Points, promo codes or CASH BACK Pro rewards for a particular Member.

6.3. The Member’s rewards account with a Partner is credited with Partner Points which may only be applied by the Member towards discount(s) on the Partner’s goods and services, rather than with a cash amount (or any part thereof) transferred by the Bank to the Partner. No cash withdrawals from the Account and/or the Member’s rewards account with the Partner and/or otherwise use of Partner Points are possible.

6.4. The Member may choose not to apply Partner Points towards discounts on Partners’ goods and services, i.e. to waive his/her right to a discount and not receive any benefit for him/herself. Where this is the case, neither the Partner is obligated to return any cash to the Bank or the Member, nor the Bank is obligated to compensate the Member for the loss of potential benefit.

6.5. The Bank recommends that the Member should exchange Select Points for the points of the Partners from whom he/she regularly purchases goods or services at his/her own expense.

6.6. Partners are not authorized to represent the Bank or make or give any representations or warranties on its behalf, and may only act within the authority conferred by these Rules or such other documents as may be approved by the Bank. The Bank is not responsible for any representations or warranties made or given by Partners outside of the powers conferred upon them.

6.7. The Member is deemed to have been duly notified of the termination or suspension of the Program if proper Notification has been given to him/her by way of telephone, electronic or regular mail, or published on the Bank’s websites at www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru.

6.8. The Member authorizes the Bank to transfer the following information about him/herself to Singapore Airlines Plc (Singapore, 6801 Ayala Avenue, Makati), British Airways Plc (Waterside, PO Box 365, Harmondsworth, UB7 0GB), OAO Urals Airlines (1g, Utrenniy per., Yekaterinburg, 620025, Russia), Six Continents Hotels, Inc.( Three Ravinia Drive Suite 100, Atlanta, Ga 30346), Citibank Singapore LTD (8 Marine View #21-00 Asia Square Tower 1 Singapore 018960) throughout the duration of his/her membership of the Program, to wit: full name, sex, date of birth, address for delivery of the Card and mail, telephone numbers (at his/her current home and work addresses, and mobile), email address, details of employment, education, marital status, number of children (if any), car make and model (if any), property at his/her current home address, and information as necessary for the accrual of KrisFlyer, Executive Сlub and IHG Rewards Club; and confirms that any and all information provided by him/her in the Application may be used by the Bank and the organizations authorized by the Bank, including those outside of Russia, solely within and for the purposes of the Program.

6.9. Any Members participating in Citi Select special promotions need to familiarize themselves with, and abide by, the terms and conditions of such promotions available on the Bank’s websites at www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru.

6.10. A Supplementary Card holder can use the Card to earn Select Points but his/her access to the Bank’s telephone banking service and website may be limited by the Bank.

6.11. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that all Supplementary Card holders are aware of these Rules.

6.12. Other terms and conditions that are not included in these Rules, including the terms and conditions of special promotions, are available on the Bank’s websites at www.citibank.ru and/or www.citiselect.ru.

6.13. Conditions of issue and use of the Card and details of the Bank’s tariffs are available at www.citibank.ru.

6.14. Discounts are made available at the discretion of, and subject to the procedure set by, the Partners. AO Citibank, Citigroup Inc. and their affiliates accept no liability whatsoever for the offers of the Partners, including in connection with the availability of any discounts. Discount details are provided based on information received from the Partners. The discounts are not cumulative with any other discounts or special offers. The offers are limited in time.

6.15. The Bank is under no obligation to secure the possibility of exchanging Selects for Partner Points. The possibility of exchanging Selects for the Points of any one or all of the Partners may not exist, and the Bank cannot be held responsible therefor.

6.16. The Member is responsible for the mobile phone number provided to the Bank.


7. Resolution of Disputes

7.1. All disputes and differences arising out of, or in connection with, these Rules will be settled by way of negotiation. If the parties fail to reach an agreement, the dispute will be heard and resolved by a court in accordance with Russian law subject to the condition that the parties first attempt to settle out of court, in which case a response to the claim must be given within ninety (90) days of its receipt in writing.

* The relationship maintenance fee and the credit card annual fee are set out in the respective Tariffs.

** A merchant category code (MCC) is a four-digit number assigned to a merchant by card companies to identify the merchant's line of business.
